COMING UP @TRINE Children and adults looking for Halloween activities can enjoy these upcoming events at Trine University: Haunted House The Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, 115 S. Darling St., Angola, will present its annual haunted house from 7-10 p.m. Oct. 25 and 26. Cost is $3 each, with proceeds going to charity. Tickets available at the door Boo Cancer The Gamma Phi Epsilon sorority will present its fifth annual Boo Cancer carnival, including trick-or-treating, costumes and games, beginning at 6 p.m. Oct. 26 in the University Center. Cost is $3 per child or $10 for four or more, with all proceeds going to area girl Conlei Walworth's fight against cancer. University Choir and Chamber Orchestra Concert The Trine University Choir and the university's Chamber Orchestra will present their free fall concert beginning at 3 p.m. Oct. 27, in the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts. The choir will "go to the movies while the orchestra spends a "Night on Bald Mountain, based on the dark Russian work of the same name. Humanities Symposia Ana Boman, lecturer in Trine's Department of Humanities and Communication, will present "Grande Dame Catrina: Honoring Death at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 29. She will discuss La Catrina, an important symbol of Mexican culture, especially during the Day of the Dead. Free and open to- the public. Poe Night Join the annual celebration, beginning at 7 p.m. Oct. 30 in Wells Theater inside Taylor Hall Trine University students and staff will be joined by members of the community in reading reciting and acting out poetry by master of the macabre Edgar Allan Poe. Free and open to the public. Also check out the following upcoming campus activities: Hotel California The acclaimed Eagles tribute band will perform in the T. Furth Center for the Performing Arts beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2. Tickets remain on sale at trine.edu/furth. Hockey Night in Angola Trine University's NCAA Division Il men's hockey team opens its home season against Hamline at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 and 4 p.m. Nov. 2. Tickets range from $S-$15. Football Trine continues its MIAA conference season by hosting Finlandia at 1 p.m. Oct. 26. Tickets are $7 general admission, $3 for senior citizens and children under 18 Women's Volleyball The Thunder welcome conference foe Albion for Senior Day at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 30. Tickets are $5; $3 for seniors and children. Soccer The Thunder women celebrate Senior Night against St. Mary's beginning at 7 p.m. Oct. 29 The men host Alma at 4 p.m. Oct. 30 Cross Country Come see the MIAA Championship meet beginning at 11 am.
