Eric Blackman is the elected Prosecutor for Noble County, and assumed office December 31, 2014. Paid for by Eric Blackman for Prosecutor. Eric grew up in rural Kendallville, and was a graduate of the East Noble High School Class of 1990. He attended Valparaiso University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History in 1994. After earning his Juris Doctorate and passing the Indiana Bar examination in 2000, Eric worked for two years as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Lake County prosecuting misdemeanor and felony criminal cases. Eric returned to Kendallville in 2002, where he joined Michael Yoder in his law office as a junior partner. He then served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Noble County from 2003 to 2010. Eric left the Noble County Prosecutor’s Office in 2010 and opened a private law practice in Kendallville, focusing on criminal defense and family law. In 2011, Eric was hired as a part-time Public Defender for Noble County.
